The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG), the administrative body that oversees Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), has launched a survey for solicitors to provide their views on the various stages of the process of making LPAs. This forms part of the early stages of the Ministry of Justice and the OPG's plans to modernise the LPA making process. This is long-overdue and hopefully will eventually result in an easier process, but it will need to take into account the difficulties of moving to a fully online system due to risks of fraud and undue influence. The survey can be completed anonymously and will close at 4pm on Friday 25th September.
