Report suggests widespread misunderstandings about Lasting Powers of Attorney

A Which? report has found that there is confusion and misunderstanding about the LPA system and reform is urgently required. Concerns were raised about how LPAs can be used, when they can be registered and mixed messages from different banks on the use of a LPA to manage financial affairs. The report concludes that urgent modernisation is required to deal with the problems and to increase public awareness of LPAs
